Abstract

|
Since isokinetic exercise equipment has made determination of muscle performance with great accuracy objectively, athletic training at high velocity and scientific rehabilitation of the musculoskeletal injuries, it is being more widely used in sports and rehabilitation medicine the purpose of this study were to measure the strength, power and endurance of knee extensors and flexors by using the cybex II isokinetic dynemometen in the students, and to standardize ¢¥the values obtained, the results obtained were as follows:
1) The torque valuse of males were significantly greater than females at each test speed and in quadriceps and hamstring
2) the quadriceps torque values was significantly greater than the hamstrings at each test speed.
3) the torque values decreased as speed of exercise increased.
4) the ratio of hamstring tongue values to quadriceps torque values significantly increased as the test speed increased.
5) the total work was significantly decreased in female hamstring respectively. 6) the endurance ratio was generally more than 50%
